The anti-inflammatory potential is determined by inhibiting the activity of 5-lipoxygenase (an enzyme which is a catalyst in the production of leukotrienes, which are inflammatory mediators).
Anti-inflammatory tests carried out in the laboratory (Inhibition of 5-LipOxygenase and therefore of the synthesis of Leukotrienes) on the oil extract of neem leaf used in NYM Fundamental Skincare Oil have demonstrated that a concentration of 0.02% was able to reduce the enzymatic activity of 5-LOX by 79% !
ANTI-FREE RADICAL TEST
Professor Michel Prost’s teams carried out KRL and RESEDA tests on the Fundamental Skincare Oil.
The KRL test is used to evaluate the overall resistance to free radical attack after product application. The REDESA test is used to determine the product’s anti-oxidant power. These two tests are internationally recognised by the scientific community.
The results obtained showed that 1 ml of Fundamental Skincare Oil increases anti-free radical resistance by 26%.
1 ml of Fundamental Skincare Oil has an anti-oxidant ability equivalent to that of 10.4 mg of Vitamin E, and 4.8 mg of phenolic acid!
